Hagerstown, MD

Sitting waiting for a load. I was unloaded by 2:30 PM. Dispatch told me to give them four hours but that's come and gone.

Wild drive through Ohio last night. It was dark and I was driving on US-250 between Wooster and New Philadelphia. Twice I ran across Amish in their black horse carriages. They both had a red light on the back of them but it's dim and with only one lit it's hard to judge distance. Now I have nothing against Amish and have a lot of respect for how they live, but darn it, get those things off the road before dark! I don't want to accidentally kill one of you one night.

Another event in the same area. This occurred less than 15 mins after the Amish thing. I was following another semi when all the sudden he slams on his brakes and makes a quick hard turn to the left to get into the oncoming lane. At the time the road was two lanes, one for each direction. I slow down and once I'm able to see what happened I see a pickup truck parked in my lane only he's parked across my lane! What the hey?! The pick up truck is painted dark flat black and brown hence why the truck in front of me didn't see him until it was almost too late. Swerving as hard as he did he nearly flipped over. I just sat there waiting to see if what was going to happen if anything. After about 20 seconds or so I drove around and pressed on. How that truck kept from flipping his truck over is beyond me!

Yeah! Get dem damn hay burners off the road before dark! Get dem damn farm tractors off the road permanently. Get dem damn big trucks off two-lane roads so hay burners and farm equipment can use them safely.
Find a buffet in Hagerstown and take it easy. Go to Boys Town and treat an orphan. Over and out!
