Clearfield, PA

Shut down for the night. Delivered to Philly then P/U in Mount Holly NJ. Deliver to South Bend IN Thurs morning. 500 miles to Del so plenty of time.

Every time I'm to drive through Philly Crete routes me across the Ben Franklin Bridge. The bridge itself isn't the problem but it's immediately before it and after it regardless of what direction you are going. On the West end of it you have to enter the downtown traffic and make a tight turn with traffic all around you and with the 53' trailer you have to take up 1 1/2 lanes to make the turn and hope no four wheelers tag you in the process. Easy enough in the days of 40' trailers but not so easily accomplished nowdays.

On the East end there is a low bridge and of the 4 lanes of traffic semi's can only be in two of those to have the needed clearance. If you're not paying attention you loose the top of your trailer.

It must be more expensive else Crete would be routing us across it but I think next time I'm doing the Walt Whitman Bridge instead. Heck, no other trucks do Ben Franklin, they're probably smarter and do the Walt Whitman instead.

Yeah! How do you know about the days of forty foot trailers, driver? Just follow Crete's routing 'cause they have a 'Buffet Atlas' and are sending you the eating route. Over and out!
